Since 1993, JT McDermott Remodeling Contractors has been a full-service remodeling contractor in the Greater St. Louis region. If you own a home within a 30-mile radius of St. Louis we do work in your hometown.
When my father created JT McDermott Remodeling Contractors in 1993 the core of our business focused on Belleville, IL and nearby communities such as Fairview Heights, IL, O’Fallon, IL, and Swansea, IL. As our reputation and business grew, so did the radius of the communities we served. Today, you will still find us working in these communities as well as Edwardsville, and Glen Carbon on the Illinois side of the river, but also throughout Greater St. Louis including Ladue, Creve Coeur, Maryland Heights, Kirkwood, among others, as well as St. Louis proper.
In fact, JT McDermott Remodeling Contractors recently completed a project in St. Louis County near Creve Couer, MO where we remodeled the home for a young couple with children whose grandfather had built it himself. The challenges were great to ensure the integrity of a home that had nostalgic meaning, but also accommodate a growing family and provided the looks and features such as an open floor plan popular these days.
We also started a complete basement finish in Creve Coeur, MO which provided our in-house designers the opportunity to work on a “blank canvass” and design a layout that fit the lifestyle of the growing family living there.
A Regional Network of Suppliers and Subcontractors
Our length of time in business, stability and reputation serves as well when working on projects throughout Greater St. Louis. We have developed strong relationships with the best vendors, suppliers and subcontractors — essential to meeting the high expectations of our customers.
It is undeniable that a provincial attitude prevails in this bi-state metropolitan region. Many of those on the Missouri side would never consider looking to the metro-east for a remodeling contractor. Likewise, many on the east side favor doing business with an Illinois-based company. We work with vendors on both sides of the river so you don’t have to always come to our actual office for meetings or product selection for your convenience.
We view the region as one and have employees who live on both sides of the river. The $1 billion expansion of the National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency’s western headquarters in North St, Louis benefits everyone no matter what part of Greater St. Louis they reside. Scott Air Force Base, which recently celebrated its 100th anniversary, is that same type of regional employer.
Illinois Roots: Bi-State Reach
While the roots of JT McDermott Remodeling Contractors are in Illinois, we truly are a regional company and not singularly for remodeling. We are occasionally called upon to perform historic restoration work on homes, especially in the St. Louis area. Understanding the rich history of the entire region gives us great appreciation for how intertwined this region is.
